SurfRecon, Inc. is an Orem, Utah-based company founded in 2007. It develops e-discovery and digital investigation tools for HR professionals, IT managers, parents, business owners, website owners, parents, and members of law enforcement. The software allows individuals to rapidly scan, detect and report-on any pornographic content discoverd on a suspect computer system and many types of digital media.

SurfRecon is a pioneer in the development of image-matching technology which it uses to accurately detect and categorize images. Where other technologies rely solely on dynamic analysis to identify images, SurfRecon uses both image matching (with hundreds of millions of digital signatures in its database) and dynamic analysis to positively identify images AND video.

For this reason, SurfRecon has one of the best detection and categorization tools available on the market today.

Currently, SurfRecon offers the technology with four different products: SurfRecon Home Edition, SurfRecon ERT for business and education, SurfRecon Enterprise, and SurfRecon Elite for law enforcement.
