Image Blur Safety Tools

You can control the clarity of an image in the Image Viewer and the Thumbnail Viewer by selecting on one of the image blur buttons. In the Image Viewer panel, the image blur buttons appear onthe right-hand side; in the Thumbnail Viewer, the image blur buttons are at the top.

There are four settings: clear, slight blur, heavy blur, complete blur. The purpose of the image blur is to reduce the impact that a pornographic image—especially a child pornographic image—may have on an individual. By blurring an image, you can quickly review several images, stopping only to analyze images that appear suspect.

If you use the blur-image tool to quickly review images, you can use the Digital Keyhole™ tool to punch a hole through the blur to review a limited segement of an image.
