Start, Pause, Resume, and Stop
You can start a scan by clicking on any of the quick search buttons or by using the custom search interface. Once you start a scan, the quick search buttons and custom search interface are replaced with "Pause" and "Stop" buttons. You can pause or stop a search at any time.
To pause a search, click on the Pause button. When you click on the Pause button, no new files are detected or analyzed. Furthermore, the pause button becomes a "Resume" button.
You can continue your search by clicking on the Resume button.
The "Stop" button, on the other hand, completely stops the search. If you prematurely stop a scan, you have to start an entirely new scan to finish scanning a selected directory.
