Quick Search Buttons: Browsers, Deleted Files, and
All Drives

There are three quick search buttons: Browsers, Deleted Files, and All Drives. When you click on a quick search button, SurfRecon starts searching in a pre-defined directory.

Browsers button
The Browsers button searches any available browser caches. NOTE: before starting a Browsers search, you must close / exit any open browsers. If you start a search with a browser open, some of the images or videos that were accessed may not be discovered by SurfRecon.

Deleted Files button
The Deleted Files quick search is only available when searching Windows computer systems. This search scans unallocated space on your computer's hard drives looking for remnants of any images or videos that were once written to the drive and then deleted. Not all images and videos are recoverable.

All Drives button
The All Drives button searches every hard drive and device that is currently mounted to the computer system.
