What Is The International Forensics Identification Database (IFID)?

The International Forensic Identification Database (IFID), sometimes referred to as the SurfRecon database, is a database containing millions of hash values. When SurfRecon scans a computer, it converts any detected files--images, video, etc.--into a hash value and then compares that hash value to those in the IFID to determine the nature of the file.
